I have a situations where we just activated the Material Ledger with actual costing in a active valuation area. What we found is that at startup, the moving average price for parts with a price control S becomes the PUP in the material ledger. Since the moving average price for parts with price control S doesn't change without the material ledger active, the information isn't really accurate. Also, since this is the first month with actual costing active, we want the PUP and the standard to equal and then let the material ledger update the PUP through the normal closing calculations. With that said, we want to manually override the PUP at startup to force the PUP and standard to match. I have tried this in a test environment and I can see the price update in MBEW and CKMLCR along with adjusting the table entry in that table for Inventory value at PUP. What I want to know, is there something that I may not be thinking about that we should test prior to making this change. Can this cause any inconsistencies in any other tables.
