splitter with two view container

Hi,

I have a splitter containing two view containers. I set both the width and height of splitter to 100%. However, the splitter displays as a line. A fixed height can fix the problem but that's what I don't want. I think set the height and width to 100% enables the UI element to adjust to different screen resolutions. What can I do?
