SAP Product Stewardship Network - Wave 4 Released
With the new release SAP Product Stewardship Network provides significant functional enhancements and an entirely new scenario for sustainability assessment.
New Scenario of SAP Product Stewardship Network: Sustainability Assessment
You can now register for the Sustainability Assessment scenario of SAP Product Stewardship Network, which is based on content from The Sustainability Consortium. The other scenario, Compliance Declaration, is the scenario that had, until now, been the only scenario of SAP Product Stewardship Network.
The Sustainability Assessment scenariosupports companies in conducting survey-based assessments of their suppliers in order to improve the sustainability of their products. The solution is based on category assessments which were developed by The Sustainability Consortium (TSC), a multi-stakeholder group who is developing tools and science-based measurement reporting systems to transform products and supply chains. This content (product questionnaires) must be purchased from SAP in order to use the scenario productively.
The goal of an assessment is to provide scorecards for measuring the sustainability performance of one´s suppliers. These scorecards help companies to identify which of their suppliers are showing leadership in sustainability and to derive actions for those suppliers, which do not meet defined goals.

Integration with In-house Compliance Solution
Uploading Components from Your In-House Compliance Solution
In the Compliance Declaration scenario, you can now upload components from your in-house compliance solution to SAP Product Stewardship Network to check whether declarations for these components already exist or have been requested. You can view uploaded components and request their declarations in the Components Work List tab of the Suppliers & Components work center.
Supplier and Customer Import Integration
If you are using the Enterprise edition of SAP Product Stewardship Network and the Compliance Declaration scenario, you can import supplier and customer data from your in-house compliance solution using the Web service. Imported supplier data appears in the Pending Suppliers tab of the Suppliers tab of the Suppliers & Components work center. Imported customer data appears in the Pending Customers tab of the Customers tab of the Customers & Products work center.
Import Integration for Regulatory Content
From your in-house compliance solution, you can now check SAP Product Stewardship Network for the current revision of either EU REACH SVHC, EU RoHS, or all regulations. This feature is available only if you are using the Enterprise edition of SAP Product Stewardship Network and the Compliance Declaration scenario.
New Functions and Features
Downloading Declarations in PDF Format
If you are using the Enterprise or Professional edition of SAP Product Stewardship Network and the Compliance Declaration scenario, you can download published product declarations and assigned component declarations as PDF files. This feature allows you to share declarations with your business partners in a user-friendly format.
Creating Mass Component Declaration Requests
If you are using the Professional or Enterprise edition of SAP Product Stewardship Network and the Compliance Declaration scenario, you can create a mass declaration request for multiple components from the same supplier. You can create a mass declaration request by adding additional components to a declaration request you have already created and saved.
Application of User Roles in PSN
Now the admin user of each company can set the role of each company user as Supplier Contact, Customer Contact, or both. Users with the Supplier Contact role have access to the Suppliers & Components work center in the Compliance Declaration scenario, or the Buy Side work center in the Sustainability Assessment scenario. Users with the Customer Contact role have access to the Customers & Products work center in the Compliance Declaration scenario, or the Sell Side work center in the Sustainability Assessment scenario. Note that you can have multiple users per company only in the Professional or Enterprise edition of SAP Product Stewardship Network.
