Create multiple items (under an Initiative)

The system provides the option to create one or multiple Portfolio Items.

However, from within the initiative (under Assigned Items), the system does not provide the option to create multiple items at a time. We can only create the items one by one.

What does it take to have the option of creating multiple Items from within the initiative?
